Setup Instructions for Smart DNS Proxy Service

If you are planning to use XBOX 360 with Smart DNS Proxy Service we recommend you to configure your router. Please find router configuration details in our How to Setup page.

Incase if you want to setup your PlayStation3 only, please follow up the following instructions:

1. Go to My Xbox, and then select System Settings.

2. Select Network Settings.

3. Select Wired Network or the name of your wireless network, if you are prompted to do so.

4. Select Configure Network.

5. On the Basic Settings tab, select DNS Settings.

6. Select Manual.

7. Select Primary DNS Server 
and Enter the primary DNS server  from the following Smart DNS Proxy Service IP addresses and then select Done. Select the closest dns server to your physical location.


8. Select Secondary DNS Server and  Enter secondary DNS server from the following Smart DNS Service Proxy IP and then select Done. Use the second closest DNS server IP.

9. Press the B button on your controller, and then select Test XBOX Live Connection.

Attention

Make sure to RESTART your XBOX 360!


* Remember whenever your XBOX 360/Router IP changes, our service will stop working for you. You will need to LOG INTO Smart DNS Proxy and UPDATE your IP address so that our system could check your IP address and add your new IP to our database. Then, you will be able to continue using our service. If this is the first time you set up, we also suggest that you log in with your PC to our site from the same Wired/Wireless network to show our system your IP address.


Troubleshooting


If you get  "We're unable to connect to Netflix. Please try later. Support: netflix.com/tvhelp". and/or
If Netflix does not respond when you select it, try deleting Netflix and downloading the software again. Here’s how:

1. Go to My Xbox, and then select System Settings.
2. Select Memory.
3. Select your primary storage device (most likely the Xbox 360 Hard Drive).
4. Select Games.
5. Find and select any items that refer to Netflix.
6. Select Delete.
7. Return to the Xbox Dashboard.
8. Go to Video Marketplace, and then select Netflix.
9. Select Confirm Download to download Netflix.
