The best part is Smart DNS Proxy VPN supports any PC/Mac and Mobile Devices operating systems. You can also access VPN from any internet connection; DSL, Cable, Satellite, 3G/4G, etc.
Smart DNS Proxy VPN has four different layers of VPN security protocols;
- PPTP Protocol;
PPTP provides 128-bit encryption. It's supported by almost every operating system on PCs and mobile devices. Simple to setup. Usually, provides breakneck speed. But some Internet Service Providers are throttling this protocol which may give you very slow speeds and disconnections. - L2TP Protocol;
L2TP provides 256-bit encryption. It's more secure than PPTP and also supported by almost every operating system on PCs and mobile devices. Simple to setup and provides fast speed. - IKEv2 Protocol;
IKEV2 provides 256bit encryption. It's using similar security techniques as L2TP protocol. It's supported by any operating system of PCs and mobile devices. In a case of L2TP does not work, IKEV2 can be used. - IKEv1 Protocol;
An Older version of IKEv2 protocol. It's suggested to be used on older devices that don't have IKEv2 Protocol support. - SSTP Protocol;
SSTP provides 2048 bit encryption. It's very secure but can only be used on windows operating systems. Simple to setup. Slower than PPTP and L2TP. - OpenVPN Protocol;
OpenVPN provides 2048 bit encryption. It's also very secure as SSTP protocol and supported by almost every operating systems on PCs and mobile devices. It's complicated to setup. Slower than PPTP, L2TP, and SSTP.
Which protocol should I use?
We mainly suggest our users use L2TP protocols for the fastest internet experience while good encryption with a simple setup. If L2TP does not work try IKEv2. Windows users can use SSTP protocol as well.
OpenVPN Protocol is very reliable and secure, but it needs little more time to setup. If you know what you are doing, we suggest you use OpenVPN instead.
